Custom Bloomington Remodel Includes Multi-Generational Twist
Without adding an additions to home #R20, AMEK Custom Builders transformed this Bloomington residence into the perfect home for empty nesters who were looking to entertain and also accommodate a multi-generation set-up for an aging parent
AMEK updated and improved the flow of the kitchen, enlarging the space and reconfiguring the layout to connect with the home’s study, family room and formal dining room. An additional prepping sink and built-in pantry helped create a highly functional space perfect for everyday living.
The homeowners enjoy a variety of styles and wanted to add a lot of interest to the kitchen by incorporating mixed wood and contrasting colors. By moving walls and accessing a corner of the garage, AMEK was also able to add a dog wash station and office to the main level as well.
Serenity blue accents and soothing wall colors create a relaxing environment, especially in the home’s master bathroom complete with a walk free-standing tub, walk-in shower, custom cabinets and well-lit closet space.
This color scheme extends throughout the home with a stunning blue accent wall between the kitchen and family room.
Designed to fit the way this family lives, AMEK created a thoughtful design that would accommodate everyone’s needs, even converting the lower level into an independent living area for an aging parent. This lower level unit is complete with a full kitchen, laundry facilities, walk-in shower, sewing area, bedroom and living room.
