Facts about the 2007 Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM

• In its 59th year, the Parade of HomesSM is presented by Builders Association of the Twin Cities’ members.

• The Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM features 843 model homes and neighborhoods located in 135 communities across the extended Twin Cities metropolitan area. There are 334 builders and developers participating in the event. All homes are open Thursdays through Sundays from noon to 6:00 pm., September 8 - October 7, 2007.

• The 2007 Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM will include two million-dollar Dream Homes presented by the Builders Outreach Foundation. Visitors to the two Dream Homes will be asked for a $5.00 donation to benefit the Builders Outreach Foundation, the charitable arm of the Builders Association of the Twin Cities. One Dream Home is by Suncrest Builders located in Mound and priced at $2,400,000. The second is by John Kraemer & Sons, located in Credit River Township and priced at $2,250,000.

• The Parade of HomesSM will feature three owners’ suite mini-tours. These three tours (the Elite Retreats tour; the Suites Complete tour; and the EasySuites tour) showcase a total of 16 fabulous owners’ suites in an easy to follow tour format. Additionally, many of these homes will host fun events in the owners’ suites, such as hand and neck massages. Details and registration for all the events will be in the Guidebook and available online at www.paradeofhomes.org by late August.

• Free seminars will be offered on September 29th and October 6th at the Builders Association of the Twin Cities office in Roseville. Topics include Top 10 Reasons to Buy New Construction in Today’s Market, Green Design, How to Create the Kitchen of Your Dreams, and Financing Your New Home. The seminars are free but registration is required, online at www.paradeofhomes.org, or by calling 651/697-1954.

• There will be two fabulous prizes given away during the Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM: a luxurious spa vacation to Riviera Maya, Mexico from NWA WorldVacations, and an ultimate spa party, services and products worth $10,000 from Juut Salonspa. Registration is at each Parade HomeSM and on-line at www.paradeofhomes.org.

• The most expensive home open to tour is #300 by Stonewood LLC. This $2,950,000 five-bedroom, four-bath home is located at 6040 Loring Drive in Minnetrista. • The lowest priced home is #550 by Midwest Communities LLC. This townhome is priced at $109,900 and located at 1894 Buchanan Street South in Cambridge. The lowest priced twin home, #486, is priced at $149,900 by Progressive Builders, Inc., located at 304 11th Av. S. in Princeton. And, the lowest priced single-family home is #489 by Minks Custom Homes, priced at $179,900 and located at 15391 12th Street West in Zimmerman.

• The homes are scattered across a broad spectrum of prices. Nine are priced below $150,000 with a total of 63 priced below $200,000. There are 248 priced between $200,000 and $299,999; 158 between $300,000 and $399,999; and 139 between $400,000 and $499,999. A total of 608 homes are priced below $500,000, with more homes priced between $200,000-$299,999 than in any other $100,000 range.

• There are 81 homes priced from $500,000 to $600,000; 51 from $600,000 to $700,000; 48 from $700,000 to $800,000; 44 homes that range from $800,000 to $899,999; and 25 homes between $900,000 and $999,999.

• A total of 56 homes are priced over $1,000,000, with 11 of those priced over $1,999,999.

• All but one of the homes priced over $1,000,000 are single-family homes. The other is #283, which is a detached townhome in MInnetonka.

• $433,668,104 million dollars in housing is represented in the 2007 Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM.

• A total of 15 of the 135 cities represented within the region have 15 or more homes open for viewing in the Spring PreviewSM, they are:
