Presenting the Sixth Annual Parade of Homes EasyStreetSM
4/10/2008
The sixth annual Parade of Homes EasyStreetSM will begin on April 26 and run through May 18, 2008. This tour of association-maintained new homes — including townhomes (attached and detached), condominiums, lofts, villa homes, row homes, coach homes, and the like — will feature 112 new homes open to the public free of charge from 3:00 to 7:00 pm Thursdays and Fridays, and 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm Saturdays and Sundays.
“Townhomes, condos, and other homes that allow homeowners the benefits of ownership while reducing the maintenance hassles are truly a major market segment these days,” says KC Chermak, 2008 President of the Builders Association of the Twin Cities and owner of Pillar Homes Partner, Inc.. “For baby boomers, busy professionals, single parents, and anyone who would rather golf than mow the lawn, the Parade of Homes EasyStreetSM is the easy and effective way to discover the entire range of possibilities available from today’s professional builders.”
This year’s Parade of Homes?EasyStreetSM has a new look, too. Instead of our traditional Guidebook, this year’s EasyStreet features a concise TourMap. It’s free and available at all metropolitan area Holiday StationStores and included in the metro editions of the Star Tribune and St. Paul Pioneer Press newspapers on April 26th. The new TourMap lists every home on the tour with price, style of home and location plus a directional map. It’s an easy-to-use reference that will guide you to each of the homes you wish to see.
For more in-depth information about all the homes, like always, you can search online at our web site www.paradeofhomes.org. Choose search criteria that works just for you, from square footage, number of bedrooms and baths, area, home design and more. Each home is cross-referenced to the builder’s own information page providing general information about the builder, previous Parade HomesSM, plus a listing of current neighborhoods and price ranges within which the builder works. Links are also available to the builders’ own web sites. Finally, when you’re online don’t forget to log onto our handy Tour Planner. This neat feature lets you save the homes that you want to see and keeps them in a handy list. You can add or delete as you wish, and make notes about the home or the builder for future reference.
A wide range of EasyStreet Homes to Tour
EasyStreet homes can be found in a wide range of prices. There are two condominiums at the lowest price of $139,900 on the tour: #55 by Goff Homes, Inc. and #61 by Stonebridge Companies. The Goff home features two bedrooms and two baths, and is located at 1580 Parkwood Drive in Woodbury. Stonebridge’s 800 square foot one-bedroom condo is located at 1800 Graham Avenue in St. Paul. The most expensive home on the tour is #103, a detached rambler townhome priced at $1,249,000 by Feehan Design &?Build, Inc. Located at 18317 Kylie Court in Minnetonka, this is a fabulous five-bedroom, four-bath townhome with 3,900 square feet on the main and lower level with all the bells and whistles.
Homes in the Parade of Homes EasyStreetSM are located in 55 communities throughout the extended metro region. Blaine has the most entries (11), followed by Woodbury with eight, St. Paul with seven, and Minneapolis with five. You’ll find homes located in close-in suburbs like Bloomington, Hopkins, St. Louis Park and New Brighton, as well as homes located as far out as Red Wing, Watertown, and Lindstrom.
