Facts about the 2008 Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM

• 2008 marks the Twin Cities’ 60th Parade of HomesSM fall tour. The Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM is presented by Builders Association of the Twin Cities’ members.
• The Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM features 497 model homes and neighborhoods located in 105 communities across the extended Twin Cities metropolitan area. There are 221 builders and developers participating in the event.
• The 2008 Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM will include two Builders Outreach Foundation Dream Homes. Visitors to the $1,889,000 Edina home and the $1,795,000 MN?GreenStar home in Minnetrista will be asked for a $5.00 donation to benefit the Builders Outreach Foundation, the charitable arm of the Builders Association of the Twin Cities.
• This fall’s Mini Tour features nine fabulous Dream Rooms. Kitchens, entertainment rooms, an owners’ suite, laundry/hobby and garage, a hearth room and two outdoor spaces showcase the latest trends in new homes.
• Once again we’ve got a focus on Green as well. Eight MN GreenStar homes (certified or in the process of certification) are featured, each offering green educational seminars. Visitors to any of these eight homes can also register to win a Ford Escape Hybrid vehicle from M&I?Banks.
• The most expensive Parade HomeSM is priced at $3,150,000. Parade HomeSM #172 is by Jyland Distinctive Homes, Inc. and located in Wayzata.
• The lowest priced home is #309 by S.W. Wold Townhomes, Inc. in Cambridge and priced at $119,900. Three single-family homes are the lowest priced, at $159,900. All three are two-bedroom, split-entry homes, #261 by Novak-Fleck in Otsego, #304 by Semler Construction in St. Francis, and #305 by Scott Olmstead Builders, right next door in St. Francis.
• The homes are scattered across a broad spectrum of prices. Nine are priced below $150,000 and 46 below $200,000. There are 76 priced between $200,000 and $299,999; 99 between $300,000 and $399,999; and 72 between $400,000 and $499,999. A total of 295 homes are priced below $500,000, with more homes priced between $350,000-$399,999 than in any other $50,000 range (58).
• There are 40 homes priced from $500,000 to $599,999; 40 from $600,000 to $699,999; 37 from $700,000 to $799,999; 15 homes that range from $800,000 to $899,999; and 13 homes between $900,000 and $999,999.
• A total of 49 homes are priced over $1,000,000, with 8 of those priced over $1,999,999 and one over $3,000,000.
• Four of the homes priced over $1,000,000 are detached association-maintained homes. The remainder are single-family homes.
• A total of $279,545,252 dollars in housing is represented in the 2008 Parade of?Homes Fall ShowcaseSM.
• A total of 17 of the 105 cities represented within the region have 10 or more homes open for viewing in the Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM, they are:
