Facts about the 2009 Parade of Homes Spring PreviewSM

• The Parade of Homes Spring PreviewSM is presented by Builders Association of the Twin Cities’ members.

• The Parade of Homes Spring PreviewSM features 403 model homes and neighborhoods located in 98 communities across the extended Twin Cities metropolitan area. There are 180 builders and developers participating in the event.

• The 2009 Parade of Homes Spring PreviewSM will include two Builders Outreach Foundation Dream Homes. Visitors to the $1,600,000 Roseville home and the $3,900,000 home in Shorewood will be asked for a $5.00 donation to benefit the Builders Outreach Foundation, the charitable arm of the Builders Association of the Twin Cities.

• This Spring’s Mini Tour features ten beautiful homes, which demonstrate ten of the 15 new Lifestyle search categories. These Lifestyle categories are searchable in the Parade of HomesSM Guidebook and even more comprehensively online at www.paradeofhomes.org. Visitors can add searches like Fabulous First Homes, Wooded Retreats, and Vacation Living choices to help them choose just the homes they wish to tour.

• Once again we’ve got a focus on Green. Six MN GreenStar homes (certified or in the process of certification) are featured along with editorial that explains some of the MN GreenStar features and benefits.

• The most expensive Parade HomeSM is our Shorewood Dream Home, priced at $3,900,000. Parade HomeSM #283 is from Hendel Homes and overlooks Christmas Lake.

• The lowest priced home is #65 by Dean R. Johnson Construction. This 996 square-foot, two-bedroom row townhome is priced at $126,900 and located at 4969 Education Drive North in Hugo. There are three lowest priced single-family homes, priced at $159,900. Novak-Fleck, Inc. has a two-bedroom, split-entry home, #379, located at 11594 - 79th Street NE in Otsego. #19 is a split-entry, two-bedroom home by Semler Construction, Inc. at 3270 - 235th Avenue NW in St. Francis. And, #73 is by Hawthorne Homes, Inc., a two-bedroom split-entry home located at 31827 McGuire Trail in Lindstrom.

• The homes are scattered across a broad spectrum of prices. Three are priced below $150,000 and 34 below $200,000. There are 56 priced between $200,000 and $299,999; 66 between $300,000 and $399,999; and 50 between $400,000 and $499,999. A total of 206 homes are priced below $500,000, with more homes priced between $350,000-$399,999 than in any other $50,000 range (43).

• There are 38 homes priced from $500,000 to $599,999; 31 from $600,000 to $699,999; 22 from $700,000 to $799,999; 10 homes that range from $800,000 to $899,999; and 10 homes between $900,000 and $999,999.

• A total of 38 homes are priced over $1,000,000, with nine of those priced over $1,999,999 and three over $3,000,000.

• Three of the homes priced over $1,000,000 are detached association-maintained homes. The remainder are single-family homes.

• A total of $228,322,813 dollars in housing is represented in the 2009 Parade of?Homes Spring PreviewSM.

• A total of nine of the 98 cities represented within the region have 10 or more homes open for viewing in the Parade of Homes Spring PreviewSM, they are:
