REMODELER OF MERITSM AWARDS ANNOUNCED
6/8/2009
The Builders Association of the Twin Cities RemodelersSM, a council of the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC), is proud to announce the winners of their 28th Annual Remodeler of MeritSM Awards (ROMA). The winners received their awards at a banquet held at The Depot in Minneapolis on Thursday, May 7th, 2009.
In this year’s ROMA awards there were 79 entries in 15 remodeling categories that ranged from kitchen and bath to additions, lower levels, and total house. Designed to honor outstanding remodeler members and their work, the awards recognize quality, design, and how well the project met client requirements.
Judging for the 2009 ROMA Awards was completed by a panel of professionals from a sister Remodelers Council in Portland Oregon. The professional remodelers reviewed all of the entries, selecting the winners based upon the submitted before and after photographs, floor plans, and design statement that explained the challenges and needs of the client, solutions devised by the remodeler, and the success of the project.
“Winning a ROMA is a real achievement SM chair and President of New Spaces, a full-service remodeling firm based in Burnsville. “Knowing that skilled industry professionals have judged your work as exceptional is truly gratifying and a source of pride for the remodeler and for the homeowners.”
The top winning firm, Streeter and Associates based in Wayzata, earned three ROMA Awards plus the coveted Best of Show honor. Streeter received ROMAs in the categories of Additions 300-800 Square Feet, Additions Over 800 Square Feet, and Interiors. Streeter won Best of Show for earning the highest average judges scores (9.5 out of a possible 10), which they received for two of their entries, Additions 300-800 Square Feet and Interiors. Three firms won two ROMA Awards, Stonehouse Designs, Inc., Ispiri LLC, and The Landschute Group, Inc. Six other firms won one ROMA each and one firm received an Honorable Mention.
