Fall ShowcaseSM and Remodelers ShowcaseSM Two for One Weekend

This fall, the Parade of HomesSM will begin with a very special weekend. Both the four-week-long new home tour and the three-day remodeling tour will launch simultaneously on September 11, 12, and 13.
“We wanted to combine the excitement of these two great events with one powerful weekend,” explains 2009 Builders
Association of the Twin Cities President, Mike Swanson. “We know many families are weighing their choices between
buying a new home or remodeling their current home, and what better way to do that than to look at both options at
once.”
Moving the Remodelers ShowcaseSM from mid October to early September gives remodelers and their clients a little more time to meet and plan out their remodeling project before the hectic Holiday season. “We liked the idea of joining forces
with the new home Parade of HomesSM for a lot of reasons,” says Remodeler ShowcaseSM chair and remodeler, Jack
Williams. “The earlier time frame helps, as does the ability to tap into the huge following that the 61-year-old Parade of
HomesSM has created.”
Showcasing the talents and highlighting the possibilities for home construction today are what the Parade of HomesSM is
all about. Whether constructing a new home or renovating an older home, today’s professional builders and remodelers
rely on state-of-the-art techniques, technologies, designs, materials and products that can make a home more comfortable,
durable, energy-efficient and healthier. The new two-in-one Parade of HomesSM weekend is the perfect place to investigate
