Facts About The 2009 Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM

• The Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM is presented by Builders Association of the Twin Cities’ members.

• The Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM features 325 model homes and neighborhoods located in 82 communities across the extended Twin Cities metropolitan area. There are 152 builders and developers participating in the event.

• All Parade HomesSM are open from September 11th through October 4th, Thursdays through Sundays from noon to 6:00 pm.

• The first weekend of the Fall ShowcaseSM (September 11, 12 and 13) will overlap with the Parade of Homes Remodelers ShowcaseSM, providing an opportunity to compare new homes with remodeled homes at the same time.

• The Fall ShowcaseSM and Remodelers ShowcaseSM
• The accompanying Web site, www.paradeofhomes.org, has been revamped to include an interactive map, forum, and many more resources to help consumers make smart housing decisions.

• The 2009 Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM will include two Builders Outreach Foundation Dream Homes. Visitors to the $3,190,000 Orono home and the $1,995,000 home in Edina will be asked for a $5.00 donation to benefit the Builders Outreach Foundation, the charitable arm of the Builders Association of the Twin Cities.

• This Fall’s Mini Tour features eight beautiful homes to demonstrate some of the 15 Lifestyle search categories. These Lifestyle categories are searchable in the Parade of HomesSM Guidebook and even more comprehensively online at www.paradeofhomes.org.

• A total of 68 special events are included in the Special Events Calendar, with events that range from seminars (staging, taking advantage of the first-time buyer tax credit, building green) to gala festivities (grand opening celebrations, golf clinics, and fall festivals with food, activities and prizes).

• The most expensive Parade HomeSM is our Orono Dream?Home, priced at $3,190,000. Parade HomeSM #125 is from Charles Cudd De Novo, LLC.

• The lowest priced home is #244 by Dean R. Johnson Construction. This 996 square-foot, two-bedroom row townhome is priced at $126,900 and located at 4969 Education Drive North in Hugo. The lowest priced single-family home, #204, is priced at $156,900. The split-entry, two-bedroom home by Semler Construction, Inc. is located at 23563 Marigold Street in St. Francis.

• The homes are scattered across a broad spectrum of prices. Seven are priced below $150,000 and 31 below $200,000. There are 77 priced between $200,000 and $299,999; 66 between $300,000 and $399,999; and 33 between $400,000 and $499,999. A total of 207 homes are priced below $500,000, with more homes priced between $200,000-$349,999 than in any other $50,000 range (44).

• There are 29 homes priced from $500,000 to $599,999; 23 from $600,000 to $699,999; 18 from $700,000 to $799,999; nine homes that range from $800,000 to $899,999; and seven homes between $900,000 and $999,999.

• A total of 33 homes are priced over $1,000,000, with four of those priced over $1,999,999 and one over $3,000,000.

• Three of the homes priced over $1,000,000 are detached association-maintained homes. The remainder are single-family homes.

• A total of $175,289,027 dollars in housing is represented in the 2009 Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM.

• A total of seven of the 82 cities represented within the region have 10 or more homes open for viewing in the Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM, they are:
