Facts on Fall 2009 Parade of Homes Remodelers ShowcaseSM

• This is the 22nd annual Fall Parade of Homes Remodelers ShowcaseSMSM
• The event will run September 11, 12, 13, 2009. This is a unique opportunity to tour 94 actual remodeled homes in 31 communities across the extended Twin Cities metropolitan area.

The accompanying Web site, www.paradeofhomes.org, has been revamped to include an interactive map, forum, and many more resources to help consumers make smart housing decisions.
• Two whole-house remodels (in Eden Prairie by JMS Custom?Homes and in St. Paul by Authentic Construction) have been selected as Builders Outreach?Foundation Dream Remodeled Homes. Visitors will be asked for a $5.00 donation to the Foundation, the charitable arm of BATC, with all proceeds used to build homes for families who otherwise couldn’t afford to own a home.
• Virtually every type of remodeling is showcased on the tour, including 21 whole-house remodels (three are teardowns), 50 kitchen renovations, 28 additions, 20 baths, and 12 lower-level finishes. Other projects include decks, porches and exteriors, owners’ suites, mud rooms, home offices, laundry rooms, and garages.
• Homes are open in 31 communities across the Twin Cities area. Minneapolis features 19 homes and there are 11 in Edina. You can tour eight homes in St. Paul and six in Eden Prairie. Other homes are located all around the region from Apple Valley to White Bear Lake, Roseville to Chanhassen.
• Two free kitchen workshop seminars are offered at 9:00 am on Saturdays, September 12 and 19th at the Builders Association offices in Roseville, plus three helpful webinars during the week.
