BATC Foundation Breaks Ground on Next Project
On May 4th, our charitable arm, the BATC Foundation, broke ground for its next project — a specially adapted home built in partnership with Homes for our Troops, for wounded Veteran, Marco Solt. Designs are being finalized now, and construction will begin within the month by our Builder Partner, Accent Homes. We hope to turn over the keys to the new mortgage free home to Marco and his family by Fall.
Army SPC Marco Solt is a Brooklyn Center native whose vehicle encountered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on his first deployment in Afghanistan. Marco lost both of his legs in the explosion and now uses prosthetics and his wheelchair to get around.
BATC Foundation volunteers, the Accent Homes crew, other vendors and trade partners gathered for a photo op.
