Decorating for the Holidays with Heather Fox
We got a sneak peek inside the home of Heather Fox—realtor and designer with Fox Homes and Foxwell—to see how she decorates for the holidays. Take some inspiration from her subtle swaps and creative flairs to recreate a festive look in your own home!
Mini Christmas trees…everywhere.
There’s nothing more festive than a Christmas tree. So why stop with the real one in your living room? Make it a statement with a whole forrest of figurines grouped together or sprinkle in a pair for a more subtle approach. Of course, you can find ones just like Heather’s at the Foxwell shop.
Swap out art prints.
Looking for a simple way to switch up decor for the holidays that makes it look like you put in a lot of effort? Swap out a few framed prints with seasonal designs. This is a great option if you don’t want to clutter up surfaces with holiday decor. Plus, you can keep the art prints in within your desired color palette for a cohesive theme.
A little bit of garland.
Add greenery to your space with a string of garland—big or small! You can place them on surfaces like mantles, tables, or entertainment stands, or hang them for a wreath-effect.
Festive scents.
Don’t underestimate the power of ‘balsam fir’ or ‘sugar cookie’ candles during the wintertime. Tingle the senses with your favorite holiday scents by scattering a candle or two in every room!
