From One Story Rambler to Two Story Cottage
JP & CO. has a treat for you on this year’s Remodelers Showcase, #R33. They transformed a basic, one-story rambler into an elegant and functional two-story cottage, and you’re invited to come tour March 27th, 28th and 29th!
Samantha Grose (pictured above), Designer for Optima Homes, JP&CO. and contributor for The Perfect Place Blog, tells us how they made the seamless transformation:
With sophisticated design, smart construction, and a clear vision, we focused on making a smooth transition from the existing space to the new space. Working closely with the homeowners, we made sure that our design fit their active lifestyle and growing family.
The lower level was opened up to take advantage of the space and utilize natural light. It features a dining counter, fireplace, connected dining room, and utilitarian mud room.
The second-story addition features an elegant owners’ suite with custom vanities, tiled shower, and spacious walk-in closet; two children’s bedrooms with a kid-friendly bathroom; and plenty of storage space.
