A family rooted in their home faced a dilemma: they needed more space but didn`t want to leave. Instead of moving, they decided to expand and the best way to go was up. By removing the roof and adding a second story that blends seamlessly with the existing upstairs, we created a loft space, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. To enhance curb appeal, we installed new shake siding, millboard accents, and a small two-story front entry addition. Inside, a revamped main-floor layout with an open staircase improved flow. We also crafted a spacious mudroom for coat drops on chilly days and a back deck perfect for outdoor dinners in the summertime.
