Revitalizing this home involved reimagining the main level to reflect an open floor layout that features maple floors & natural light. To foster connection, we framed a pony wall separating the living & dining rooms. This artful partition preserved sightlines towards the backyard, a scene now framed by a brand-new picture window. The heart of this renovation story beats in the kitchen, which we transformed into a culinary epicenter. Find a 10-foot quartz island & custom-stained alder throughout. Top Wolf & Sub-Zero appliances & double ovens were a must. A custom-stained wood hood adorned with a glass mosaic backsplash is the undeniable centerpiece, visible from the moment you step inside. Butler pantry, appliance garage with custom glass doors above, 10` island with custom shelving for cookbooks, built in cabinetry next to a travertine fireplace, vaulted wood paneled ceiling. Aside from the kitchen being the focal point of the home, the butler pantry is a hidden gem around the corner behind double pocket doors. A large window lets an abundance of natural light into the space. The hexagon shaped porcelain tile backsplash provides an exciting accent to the space. With plenty of storage, prep sink, and beverage fridge, it was the best solution to convert the existing mudroom into a butler pantry to service every need of a food writer/chef.
