A vibrant update brings new life to a charming Minneapolis townhome! This whole-house refresh includes the kitchen, primary bath, powder room, entryway and more. The lime green island serves as the cheerful focal point, with other design surprises throughout – including a statement-making floor treatment in the foyer. When Plekkenpol Builders remodels your home, “The Difference is in the Details.”
Prior to remodeling, the narrow kitchen sat behind an angled two-tiered island that took up too much space and extended awkwardly into the living room.
The new island features more functional prep and counter space and is large enough to accommodate additional seating. Its bold, saturated color is complemented by cool white cabinets, polished quartz countertops and sleek matte black fixtures. Undercabinet color-changing LED lighting offers a rainbow of colors. The kitchen feels fresh and full of energy.
On the second level, the home was freshened with all new doors, trim and paint. The primary bath was fully remodeled to include a new vanity with quartz countertop, shower/soaking tub and heated tile floor.
After remodeling other spaces, the owners wanted to add the same colorful energy to their entryway and powder bath. The graphic powder room initially catches the eye, but the tile-to-wood floor treatment is the showstopper! Black, white and gray hexagon floor tiles start at the front door, continue into the powder room, then seamlessly transition into the wood flooring and down the hall.
Bold black and white walls in the entry further personalize the space – the perfect backdrop for the original artwork found throughout the home.
