“It’s Time!” Our Bloomington homeowners couldn’t wait to leave their cramped kitchen with broken appliances behind. Our AMEK Design + Build team focused on additional natural light, better function and flow, and thoughtful organization. Organic elements are featured in the reeded island panels, Moroccan-inspired backsplash, red oak flooring, and Venetian plaster hood dusted in subtle gold flakes.
It was time to rethink how the main level functioned and to consider what was possible! It was time to say “goodbye” to the outdated 1964 kitchen and an underutilized dining room. The homeowners are now relishing their open layout that allows them to mingle with guests while cooking, to have organized storage solutions, and to have exceptional cross lighting.
A quiet, but powerful pattern in the Cambria Macbeth quartz countertops draws the eye to the artistic element. The Venetian plaster hood with gold-flaked accents complement the Moroccan-inspired backsplash tile. White oak cabinets feature reeded end panels for a traditional, yet elegant look.
New casement windows bring in lots of natural light while the new red oak flooring blended in with the existing wood provides continuity throughout the primary living area. Appliances with modern features make cooking a treat after dealing with only 2 working burners on the stove for years.
Two bathrooms were included in the remodel. The main level powder room was updated with new fixtures and finishes while a lower level bathroom was added.
Now, it’s time for our family to truly enjoy all the details and to share the new space with others!
